Terms & Conditions

These Conditions of Sale apply to any orders for goods made by the purchaser (“you”) from Mayford Wines (“us”/”we”) via the Web Site. By making an order via the Web Site, you agree to be bound by these Conditions of Sale and to abide by the rules and regulations governing the sale of alcohol in Australia.

 

You must be 18 years of age or over to order wine from this site. You warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and that you are buying the goods for personal use and not for re-sale purposes. Mayford Wines reserves the right to request proof of age should they consider the purchase of wine is being made by a minor.

 

Your contract of sale is with Great Alpine Wines Trading as Mayford Wines ABN 44 007 137 224 under its Victorian Liquor Licence Number. 36088878.

 

Mayford Wines may accept any order for the supply of goods in whole or in part, or decline any order. We are under no liability to you in respect of those goods that we are unable to supply to you provided that we refund any amounts paid by you in respect of the goods ordered but not supplied.

 

Ordering via this website or by phone

 

When ordering with Mayford Wines online or by telephone, you confirm that all the details that you have provided in completing the order and offer to purchase the liquor are true and correct. It is a condition of purchase that you verify that you are 18 years of age or over. If you do not confirm that you are 18 years or over, your order will not be processed.

 

Delivery

 

This site may only be used for purchase of wine for delivery within Australia and delivery of all on-line purchases will be by way of Australia Post.  Should you require alternate delivery options you should contact us to discuss your requirements.

 

Delivery by Australia Post is very reliable and you should receive your product within 7 days of ordering.  Please advise us promptly if your wine does not arrive. If you do not advise us of non-arrival within 21 of lodging your order we will not accept responsibility for any loss or breakage in transit.

 

Title and risk in the goods passes to you on delivery of the goods to the delivery address.

 

Mayford Wines supports the responsible service of alcohol. It is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to, or to obtain alcohol on behalf of, a person under the age of 18 years. So please note that you or the person receiving your order must have ID proving they are over 18 years of age.

 

Returns & Exchanges

 

You must advise us promptly in the event that you believe the goods received are faulty or defective, not as ordered or not of merchantable quality. We will not accept claims made after 28 days of the dispatch date.

 

To make a claim, contact the winery on 03 5756 2528 or by way of email ( info@mayfordwines.com) and we will attempt to remedy the situation as soon as possible.

 

Items for return must be in original condition and in original packaging. We do not accept items with any indication of having been used or opened.

 

Transaction Cancellation

 

Should you wish to cancel a transaction, you must contact us 03 5756 2528 or info@mayfordwines.com prior to dispatch of your order. Where you advise us within this time-frame we may cancel the order and refund the amount of your payment less costs incurred by us in processing the order to that point.

 

Privacy Policy

 

We are committed to protecting the privacy of individuals’ personal information. We are bound by the National Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Commonwealth) (the Act).  We will only disclose and store your personal information in accordance with the Act and this Privacy Policy.  In this Privacy Policy, personal information means information or an opinion about a person whose identity is apparent, or can be reasonably ascertained, from the information or opinion.

 

The type of information we collect from you depends upon your use of the Site.  Generally speaking however, the information which we collect will be information you give us (such as your name, address, telephone number and email address) in order to fulfil any orders for products you make via the Site. In this regard, our site will not hold your full card number details – these are provided to and utilised by the Payment Gateway we utilise (eWAY) in order to process the order.

 

We collect from you (for example we may record information such as the areas of the Site accessed by you and your IP address)

 

Generally, information which is collected from the Site and from you is used by us to operate the Site, to provide you with a product you have requested from the Site, to provide you with information about our products, and to help us gain a better understanding of your likes and dislikes so we can improve the Site and the services we offer. to third parties appointed by us in order to perform services for us and as may be required to fulfil and deliver any orders for products you may make from us (in which case we will use reasonable endeavours to require these third parties to keep that personal information confidential and not to use or disclose it for any purpose other than the purpose of performing those services); where we are required or authorised by law to disclose personal information, for example to law enforcement agencies;
or with your consent.

 

You may seek access to personal information which we hold about you.  We will provide access to that information in accordance with the Act.  We may require that the person requesting access provide suitable identification. General

 

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the provision will be deemed severed from the Terms and Conditions and the remainder of the terms will continue in full force and effect. Any failure by us to enforce strict performance of any of these Terms and Conditions will not be construed as a waiver of any of our rights or remedies in respect of any existing or subsequent breach of the Terms and Conditions. This document is governed by and is to be construed in accordance with the laws applicable in Victoria.
